Did you see the Raymond Carver’s letters to his editor in the New Yorker a while back, along with Lish’s edit of What We Talk About… I thought that was totally fascinating.

leah, totally. and it’s become very controversial too in carver’s case because they now want to publish the original un-edited versions of his stories. weird, right?
