On Emerging Writers Network, there’s a recap of a panel of lit journal editors that Dan moderated. He definitely asks important and relevant questions that I and surely lots of poets and short story writers have also wondered in the process of submitting work. There were some interesting answers, like the fact that most of the eds said they do actually read and welcome new writers’ work, and their different takes on cover letters, of which I’m of the belief: If you don’t have it, don’t flaunt it. And they seem to ditto that.
