Minus the Spine

Hello world!

Hello, indeed. In honor of my story Le Metro being published in Volume 6, Issue 3 of Toasted Cheese, I’ve decided to start a litblog that collects some of the great fiction  being published online (um, like mine) but also the book reviews, author interviews and tons of other bookish shtuff that I find. Plus, it gives me and hopefully any poor soul that finds their way here a chance to do something literary everyday.

I wrote Le Metro about two years ago. The story is really a mood piece and because of that has a more formal voice than my other stories. In writing it, I thought about the relation of cliche to fact, and the story plays with the way expectations tend to take a person away from reality. Let me know what you think.

This was a great story. I must confess, not being from the literary world, I thought you wrote a story about toasted cheese when I saw your e-mail! :)

I laughed, I cried, I came in my pants what a story! Those French Jews, feisty motherfuckers. Really Valaer, good story, you’re turning into a good writer here. Keep writing and reading my novel … hs0uld I plug the old one on pulpbits, under general fiction, Phone Fun by Scott Deckman, no, no, I shouldn’t, can’t!

Okay, enough of the shill. Nice site, good writer this Valaer. Just wait till her Jeffersons is published, more cum, more juice and screams of ecstasy will abound. Watch out for this one people.
